The single-cab bakkie continues to play a vital role in SA’s economy, serving as the backbone of many industries from small business and final-mile logistics to agriculture, construction and tradespeople.
The single-cab bakkie has remained an enduring performer in the local automotive market, and continues to enjoy strong demand.
Recognising this, LDV South Africa has announced the launch of its newest entry model - the T60 Utility Single Cab, a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine work horse priced from a competitive R 299 900.

Producing 120kW and 410Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, the LDV T60 Utility Single Cab offers the versatility to tackle everything from urban deliveries to off-road job sites. This model has a payload capacity of up to 1 170kg and a 73-litre fuel tank, along with a braked towing capacity of 3 000 kg.
The T60 Utility Single Cab is available in both 4x2 and 4x4 variants, delivering fuel consumption of just 7.5L/100km on the highway and 8.7L/100km in urban driving.
With an overall length of 5 395mm, a width of 1 900mm, height of 1 830mm and a generous 3 155mm wheelbase, the T60 Utility Single Cab offers a spacious cabin and a comfortable ride.
LDV's roots trace back to the historic British brand, Leyland DAF Vans, while today the company forms part of SAIC Motor, one of the world's largest vehicle manufacturers.
LDV entered the South African market in 2024 and has since steadily expanded its local line-up with a growing range of commercial and lifestyle vehicles.
